Old painting: study by Martin de Waelhem of 1921

Superb old painting signed m d w. And countersigned on the back martin de waelhem and dated 1921. This is a study depicting a statue. Oil painting on isorel in its original montparnasse frame. Martin de waelhem is a belgian painter born in 1882 and referenced on the sites of the art market. In good general condition, there is a small lack of paint on the board under "study" at the bottom right (see photo). The montparnasse wooden frame is in good general condition and has slight splinters at the patina, mainly located at the top of the table (see photos). A beautiful and very decorative painting!.
