This scandinavian mid-century modern, free-standing wall unit in teak features two cabinets and one shelf. It is an entirely modular shelving system called “ergo” which was designed by john texmon and einar blindheim for blindheim mobelfabrikk and made in norway in the 1960s. Slightly curved cabinets make a warm impression and sculptural rails create an elegant and grand-looking statement. This shelving system includes: A cabinet with sliding door with an inner shelf - h: 47 cm X w: 78.5 cm X d: 42 cm. A cabinet with glass doors with an inner shelf - h: 43 cm X w: 78.5 cm X d: 22 cm. A shelf with brass hangers 21 cm deep. 2 teak supports, each 203 cm long. The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have examined if all doors work properly. On many occasions, we have to sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here we have only rejuvenated the wood with danish oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring it back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old. Clients from all around the world already have trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece. It is a beautiful piece in excellent original condition with almost no traces of use.
