A true antique, this stoneware bottle from the Duchy of Nassau has survived the ages to reach us. It is an old sparkling water bottle sourced from natural springs, which was exported by the Duchy of Nassau in Germany. It bears the stamp "Herzogthum Nassau," which identifies its origin. The word "Selters" surrounds an image of a crowned lion and refers to sparkling water (from which the word seltzer is derived). The exploitation of the springs extended from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. This stoneware bottle has a handle, beneath which is the inscription ms39 (probably a series numbering). It is in excellent condition given its great age (between 150 and 200 years). A similar bottle is also preserved in the Louvre Museum. You will understand: by adopting it, you are not only acquiring a decorative object but a genuine part of European history. Feel free to check my other listings: I offer other stoneware pieces. Height: 29.5 cm, base diameter: 9 cm, neck diameter: 2.5 cm.
