Description
Pretty bottle with a handle, in sandstone enamelled in brown tones, chocolate. Its very elongated shape in height is really interesting, very decorative. It is equipped with a cove. Maybe an oil or liquor bottle. It has a (illegible) stamp with the letter d in hollow just above, and on the low rim one can read "msterda" in hollow in the ceramic. Amsterdam perhaps, we guess the a in front, but not the m in the end. Perhaps the company bols, the oldest distillery in the world (1575) which was based in amsterdam and which sold its spirits in this kind of bottle... An investigation is to be carried out to confirm this; ) it is in good general condition: no leakage when you put water in it, just a small splinter under the base, some scratches and tiny splinters on the enamelling. And some original defects including a small hole at the base (without leakage). It is 32 cm high, 8 cm wide and weighs 1.2 kg.
