4 CHAIRS - MarC HeLD - "Creators" edition 1970

4 stackable chairs (!!) completely made of metal without any screws or bolts or glue! Saved from a garage where they were going to disappear into nothingness, they are reminiscent of old American automobiles from the 1950s. It should be noted that Marc Held's participation in the automobile industry was the talk of the town at the time, it seems!? Free of their thick rust on their chrome base but not of the residue of their signature adhesives similar to those on the underside of the seats on the back. I will get rid of it on simple request! For connoisseurs, these are chairs designed by Mr. Held - a recognized French designer during the 30 glorious years - & which were purchased in the 60s in his Parisian boutique "l'Echoppe" then an absolute reference for design enthusiasts. Present in the catalog of the time. So I scrubbed them almost completely. Impossible to find the same shades of paint. The rust of the two white ones removed & the two “terra Cotta” just brushed to maintain a certain uniformity of color & to preserve their tolé character! I can, upon simple request, make it disappear but this risks blowing off a little more paint and making the metal appear as you see on the white ones on which it does not look bad in my opinion. & what quality of metal! Under the stitched chrome the steel is high quality & rechroming them would be a mistake in my humble opinion! Price indicated for two copies.
