For sale is an exceptional set of 8 stoneware pieces from the famous Poterie de la Colombe (Atelier Madeleine and Marcel Brault), Orriule / Vallauris period, 1960s-1970s. This collection is a perfect illustration of the revival of stoneware in the 60s, blending the authenticity of the material with modernist graphics. It features the two iconic designs of the workshop: the "tachiste" patterns (black oxide projections) and the stylised floral motif (a stunning sunflower on the covered pot). The lot includes: 1 large cylindrical jug (centrepiece) 1 large lidded pot with "Sunflower" decoration. 1 roll vase. 2 ear bowls (caquelons) 2 white/cream glazed dessert plates. 1 matching dish. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No cracks or chips. Signature: Impressed dove mark under the base of most pieces. Ideal for a characterful table setting or to complement a 50s/60s/70s ceramic collection. Dimensions: Please contact me for precise measurements. Shipping: Extremely careful packaging (double box and reinforced protection).
