Vintage Ladik wool rug - 230 x 180 cm

This large vintage wool Ladik rug stands out with its rich patchwork design, inspired by traditional oriental rugs. Its composition blends various patterns, notably evoking Mamluk rugs and Persian gardens, in a warm colour palette of red, ochre, yellow, and dark blue. Each square features a different design: geometric and floral medallions, plant motifs, and ornamental compositions interact across the entire surface. In the bottom right, a stylised prayer niche particularly stands out, adding an extra touch of character to the whole. Made of wool and mechanically produced, it has a pleasant pile. It has everything to become the focal point of a living room. Very good vintage condition - It shows a natural patina and wear on the pile, visible in places, which testify to its age, but the colours remain vibrant. The rug has been thoroughly cleaned.
