Janus carpet point lily 390x290 cm

This is an old European Tetex carpet woven in Germany during the first quarter of the 20th century, around the 1920s. Also known as a "Janus" carpet due to the lily point weaving method. Wool carpet on a cotton base. Condition: Used wool with a visible stain in the last photo. Fringes shortened and edges imperfectly restored in two areas located on opposite sides of the carpet (approximately 60 cm each).
