2 Louis XVI square medallion chairs from the 19th century

Pair of Louis XVI style chairs with cabriole backs or square medallion backs. The classic codes of the Louis XVI style are recognised by the tapered and fluted legs, the connecting blocks adorned with flowers (roses), and a backrest with straight and simple lines. They date from the late 19th or early 20th century. The backrest and seat are upholstered in grey-beige velvet, while the structure is made of solid wood painted in rosy beige.
