A pair of pretty upholstered chairs with medallion backs, in Louis XVI style (early 20th century). Original patina. Faded turquoise velvet, but without any tears or rips. Traditional stuffing (horsehair) in very good condition, soft seats. Impeccable joinery. Nice wood carving work, with ribbons on the stretchers and Marie-Antoinette bows on the backs. These bows have some wood missing, but it does not detract from the overall aesthetic (see close-up photo). Seat height 45 cm.
