A wall mirror in natural bamboo, imbued with the delicate charm of Japonisme from the late 19th century. Its square frame, oriented in a diamond shape, is made of honey-toned bamboo rods, enhanced by four darker, almost black rods that cross diagonally at the corners and extend beyond the frame, finished with their characteristic natural knots. This contrast between light varnished bamboo and dark raw rods creates a refined decorative effect, typical of the Japonese taste of the Belle Époque (circa 1870-1900). The square bevelled glass (21 X 21 cm) reflects a beautiful antique patina, with slight pitting that authentically attests to its age. The back retains its original cardboard and canvas support, consistent with a Napoléon III manufacture. Overall dimensions: 54 X 41 cm — a lightweight character piece (2 kg), ready to bring an elegant touch of the East to a hallway, bedroom, or living room with wabi-sabi or Art Nouveau inspirations.
