A captivating expression of post-war Italian glass, this sculptural chalice vase in mid-century modern style combines bold, theatrical colours with an elegant geometric shape. The upper goblet is made from a vibrant double-coated cadmium red-orange glass that beautifully captures ambient light. The body effortlessly transforms into a milky opalescent stem, skillfully hand-twisted, culminating in a soft, frosted base. Adding significant value for collectors, the vase retains its original vintage silver foil label on the front, featuring a raised eight-pointed star emblem—a distinctive sign of genuine export glass from the renowned design regions of Empoli and Florence in Tuscany. Condition details: The vase is in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, flea bites, or post-production internal clouds. The glass retains exceptional clarity and vibrancy. Please note: There are two tiny dark specks of microscopic ash trapped inside the glass near the lower joint of the twisted stem. These are original manufacturing artifacts from the artisan's hand-blowing process, common in genuine mid-century Italian art glass, and do not affect the structural integrity or beauty of the piece.
