Handmade plate with moon and sun in Romania

This plate with a diameter of 20.5 cm for a height between 3.5 and 4 cm (weight of 440g) comes from romanian folk art. This is a ceramic dish from kuty. This know-how is based on naive motifs (here a sun, crescent moons scrutinizing each other and a sky studded with stars) made by incision and a trichromy (yellow, green and brown / brown) on an ivory white / pale yellow background. In the style of the works of constantin colibaba, this totally unique ceramic is a vintage piece (mention 'colibaba' on its back) in glazed earth, all in excellent general condition (no cracks, no lacks).
