Vintage jug H. Béquet no. 683, floral decoration and gilding.

Large vintage decorative jug made by the Belgian manufacturer H. Béquet in Quaregnon. The piece bears the manufacturer's mark as well as the model number 683. It likely dates from the 1950s–1960s. The body in white faience is hand-decorated with large polychrome flowers in bright colours. The flared black neck, adorned with golden scrolls, and the high sculptural handle give the piece a particularly expressive silhouette. Golden highlights are also present on the base and in the floral decoration. A fragment of the original label is still preserved near the neck. In good vintage condition. The gilding shows some age-related wear in places, slight variations in hue, and a few irregularities visible in the photographs. A characteristic decorative Belgian piece from the mid-20th century, which can be displayed as a collector's jug or as a vase.
