Vintage 1960s display cabinet with compass legs.
This 1960s bookshelf features beautiful teak with deep grains, whose warm reflections come alive in the light. Its slender silhouettes, slightly raised side posts, and tapered feet give it a distinctly modernist touch of the era. Two levels are protected by sliding glass doors, highlighted by lovely golden brass profiles, ideal for showcasing dishes, trinkets, or precious books away from dust. The three other shelves remain open for stacks of novels, magazines, and everyday items. A characterful piece, practical and elegant, that will fit well in a living room, an office, or a bedroom. It bears the gentle marks of a well-lived life, a sign of authenticity. The teak has been sanded and revarnished, and the overall condition is good apart from slight chipping on the edges of the glass (visible in close-up in the photos).
