Thonet bistro table 1900 with drop-leaves

Superb antique bistro table made of bent wood, Thonet model, circa 1920. Very practical, this table features two small foldable extensions that allow it to be enlarged. Slides located under the top enable the adjustment of the two side leaves. It has been fully refurbished and cleaned. The solid wood top is original. It has been sanded and then treated with colourless wax to restore its proud appearance and reveal the beauty of the wood. The very beautiful bent wood base with its brass reinforcements showcases the craftsmanship of the Thonet company, renowned for its bistro furniture. Well-made, it is perfectly stable, solid, and very sound. This authentic piece from the 1900s will be perfect for creating a Parisian bistro atmosphere in your home, on a terrace, or in a restaurant.
