Charles Dudouyt solid oak reading lamp

Superb and rare floor lamp with integrated shelf, attributed to the French designer Charles Dudouyt (late 1940s). An iconic piece of brutalist style, ideal for adding character and a chic vintage touch to a contemporary interior. Made of solid oak, the central column is sculpted with repetitive faceted patterns (known as "diamond point"), offering a powerful and structured vertical line. The coordinated base is adorned with concentric rings carved from the wood. In very good condition, stable structure and beautiful wood patina, with some signs of age consistent with its years. Sold with its black drum shade, providing beautiful light and a very elegant modern contrast. An exceptional piece, both functional and highly decorative.
