Plate São Pedro Conimbriga Portugal signed Sousa

Hand-painted glazed earthenware plate featuring a particularly rich composition of fauna and vegetation. Marks on the reverse: São Pedro Conimbriga Portugal as well as the painted signature Sousa, confirming a hand-decorated piece. The São Pedro Conimbriga workshops continue the Portuguese tradition of decorative painted earthenware, inspired by nature and the ceramic heritage of central Portugal. In beautiful vintage condition, shiny glaze, vibrant colours, and perfectly preserved decoration, with some slight manufacturing marks on the reverse, typical for a handmade piece (see photos). Diameter: 26 cm. A ceramic piece that tells the story of nature as much as it adorns an interior.
