Magnify your festive tables and spring lunches with this very large ceramic presentation platter, handcrafted in Italy. Originally designed as a serving dish (ideal for deviled eggs with its dedicated wells all around and a large central area for asparagus or sauces), it charms with its very realistic and colorful raised vegetable decor. On one side, there is a saffron yellow lemon, wild fennel, and a shaded apple/bell pepper; on the other, a beautiful ripe tomato, a purple eggplant, and a radish, all highlighted by dense green foliage. Marked "ITALY" embossed under the base, a testament to the craftsmanship of Italian majolica manufacturers from the 1970s/1980s (Bassano / Hollywood Regency style). Overall in beautiful condition. The barbotine retains a superb milky shine and vibrant colors. Note a very small chip (micro-nick) that is very discreet on the inner rim of a central well, visible in the zoomed photo, which does not alter the aesthetics or sturdiness of the platter.
