2 boat chairs "Pacific Ocean"

A pair of authentic steamship cruise chairs from the 19th century, in "Pacific Ocean" style. The logo of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company ("P&O"), carved on the backrest, attests to their provenance. They were once securely fixed to the ground by their wrought iron feet, and the seat swivels to accommodate rolling. Used in cabins or offices, they are therefore called Captain's chairs. Each chair has its reversible cushion, allowing for a choice of leather or cane seating. These very beautiful, robust, and heavy chairs, yet very elegant with their mahogany wood and impeccable shellac finish and retro design, will serve as collector's items in a living room or bar area. The cane has aged enough to be slightly loose but is still in very good condition, as is the leather seat. A few signs of wear, few in number for the age of the chairs, are visible in the photos. Due to their considerable weight, transport costs will be higher than for less original chairs!
