Large Red and Yellow Ceramic Lamp Base, Kil, Scandinavia, 51 cm

Large vintage lamp base made of red and ochre/yellow glazed ceramic; marked "Kil 05031" on the bottom; Scandinavian, 1960s–70s. A fantastic, colorful lamp base with a single light socket; while some versions of this lamp feature an additional light source within the base itself, this specific model has only one light source at the top. It is supplied without a light bulb or lampshade. This item is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or breaks. There is a minor glaze flaw or imperfection along the outer rim; such imperfections were common on vases and lamps of this type, as they were mass-produced and often touched one another during the firing process.
