Large openwork Fat Lava lamp base from the 1970s.

Spectacular ceramic lamp base in Fat Lava from the 1970s, probably of German manufacture. A large sculptural piece with four handles, featuring a glossy chocolate brown glaze and cream white speckling. An openwork model designed for dual lighting: one bulb above under a lampshade and a second inside the ceramic, painted yellow to diffuse a warm light through the perforations. Work reminiscent of the creations of Walter Gerhards, without confirmed attribution. In excellent condition, close to new. Sold without electrification or lampshade.
