Limoges porcelain tea set – Asian decor “Bird and Peony” – Numbered series. Elegant tea service in Limoges porcelain, signed by Les Maîtres Porcelainiers Limougeauds, featuring a polychrome decoration inspired by 18th-century Chinese models, known as “Bird and Peony – Old China”. This refined service showcases a delicate design depicting a bird perched on a flowering branch of peonies and fruits, in the spirit of Qing export porcelain. The quality of execution, the finesse of the design, and the harmony of colours make it a particularly appealing decorative set. The reverse of the pieces bears the manufacturer's mark as well as a note specifying the origin of the decoration, adapted from ancient models preserved notably at the Guimet Museum, and validated by an expert. Numbered service No. 035. Composition: 1 teapot. 1 covered sugar bowl. 1 milk jug. 12 cups. 12 saucers. Period: 20th-century work, circa 1950. Condition: Good overall condition. Remarks: Complete and homogeneous service, ideal for use or display. Sought-after decoration, very decorative, in the style of ancient Chinese productions.
