Period: 1980–1989. Weight: 5.8 kg. Condition: Good condition – used, with minor signs of age and small marks. In good condition: a unique 1980s adjustable chair—the Lundi-sit—designed by the Dutch designer Gijs Boelaars and produced for Lundia. This designer chair has been out of production for years. The chair can be disassembled, and its height is adjustable. It is designed more for adults than as a "grow-along" chair for children; otherwise, it would have required safety features for very young children. The Lundi-sit chair is often regarded as the precursor to the Stokke Tripp Trapp chair. It was included in the "Dutch Furniture 1980–1983" exhibition at the Bouwcentrum. Source: Article by Gijs Bakker in *Items* magazine (a publication dedicated to design that evolved into the leading design magazine in the Dutch-speaking region), issue 7, 1983. This item is an authentic Dutch design by Gijs Boelaars for Lundia, dating from the 1980s. It is the distinctive "Lundi-sit" model, a chair notable for its sculptural and minimalist design. The chair is crafted from plywood with a clear lacquer finish, which highlights the natural wood grain and the material's layered structure. The design is based on an ingenious interlocking system, allowing the various components to fit together without screws or glue. The tall, tapered backrest and round seat create a striking silhouette, while the cutouts serve both functional and aesthetic purposes. This chair is in good, used condition consistent with its age. The construction is solid and the original finish has been preserved, lending the piece an authentic character. The patina that has developed over the years enhances the object's vintage appeal. A striking example of Dutch Design from the postmodern era, this chair works beautifully as a s.
