Dutch Renaissance-style cushion cabinet in solid wood

Dutch "cushion" armoire in Renaissance style made of blonde oak, rosewood, and black lacquer. Solid oak structure, opening at the front with 2 doors and 2 drawers. Secret lock hidden in the carvings of the central post, revealed by activating the relief. The moulded upper cornice is topped with a frieze of three lion masks carved against a black lacquer background. Interior with shelves and drawers, resting on two bun feet. These armoires were both functional and true works of art, protecting valuable items such as linen and silverware. Superb quality, with a very beautiful warm patina.
