Elegant glazed stoneware vase signed CAB France (Art Ceramics of Bordeaux), a factory founded in the early 20th century and renowned for its vibrant glazes. This ovoid model features a stunning flow of turquoise and emerald glaze on a deep burgundy red background, typical of Bordeaux Art Deco productions. The gilded bronze mount is intricately worked, decorated with fluted friezes and raised beads around the upper and lower edges. The glaze, richly nuanced, offers crystallisation effects and cracks characteristic of CAB workshops under the direction of Félix Gête. Stamped CAB mark and number 73 under the base, with FRANCE engraved on the metal rim. Very good overall condition, no cracks or chips. Superficial cracks in the glaze and slight patina on the bronze consistent with age. French work from the 1930s-40s, typical of the decorative Art Deco production of the South-West.
