Vase Lalique Saint Barth

An extraordinary example of marie-claude lalique's talent: the "saint-barth" vase designed in 1993, and one of her last creations before selling the family business in 1996. This particular vase was only produced for three years and retailed for the equivalent of €1, 500 at the time. Inspired by his many trips to the island, st. Barts is created to look like a coconut forming on the tree, with the coconut leaves flowing to the top. This vase is unique in that the body is smooth and silky, while the leaves have a heavier and harder frosted finish, alternating with highly polished veins and overlaps. The vase is 21 cm high and weighs 2 kg! It is signed "lalique france" in cursive letters, at the tip. It is in perfect condition, and was only used as decoration.
