J. Svenstrup writing desk for A.P. Møbler, Denmark, 1960. A beautifully crafted Danish modern freestanding desk in richly figured rosewood with elegant proportions and refined detailing. The desk features six spacious drawers with sculpted solid rosewood handles and fine joinery, all raised on slender tapered legs that give the piece a light and architectural appearance. The warm rosewood grain flows beautifully across the top and drawer fronts, showcasing the exceptional quality of the wood. Finished on all sides, the desk can be placed freely in a room and works perfectly as both a writing desk and executive desk. Marked with the original manufacturer’s sticker inside one of the drawers, and the key is included. The top has been professionally refinished. In very good condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. The rosewood has a rich warm tone with beautiful grain and patina throughout.
