Pair of Two-Light Table Lamps in Brass with Green Shades. Work F

Each lamp features a square base in brushed brass, from which rise two cylindrical stems with flat bowls that hold the lights, as well as a central threaded rod with a knob to adjust the height of the lampshade. The latter, in a conical shape, is covered in deep green paper edged with a black trim, which diffuses a warm and soft light to great effect. This two-light composition with an adjustable lampshade takes inspiration from the bouillotte lamps of the 18th century, reinterpreted here in a distinctly seventies spirit: clean lines, satin brass, geometric volumes. A French piece from the 1970s that fits into the great tradition of elegant table lighting. Condition report: Generally good condition. Brass with a uniform golden patina, lampshade in excellent presentation condition. An ideal pair for a desk, console, or bedside tables, providing a soft library-like light.
