Ceramic lamp base by Pierre Pissareff, blue thistles.

Ceramic lamp base signed Pierre Pissareff, decorated with blue thistles, featuring beautiful shades and a very natural charm. Pierre Pissareff (1904-1981) was an important ceramist of Russian origin, who arrived in France in the 1920s. After training with René Brenner in Caen, he continued his career in the Oise and became one of the prominent figures in Beauvaisis ceramics. This small lamp base, measuring 25 cm in height, is fitted with a bayonet socket and can be paired with a lampshade of your choice. Very good overall condition. The white electrical cord simply shows a few minor signs of use. A quality vintage piece. Careful shipping.
