Murano glass carafe by Vicenzo Nason and company

Magnificent Murano glass carafe by the house of Vicenzo Nason and Company, founded in the 1930s by Vincenzo Nason, heir to one of the oldest families in Murano. The glassworks established itself during the peak of the island's artistic splendour with a brand that became known in Italy and abroad. The company, covering an area of six thousand square metres, had about twenty furnaces and could also produce 15 different colours daily. It was one of the last furnaces to continue the production of industrial glass, particularly lighting components, bathroom accessories, and dental cabinets. It has always been managed by family members. At its peak of expansion, until 2000, the company employed around 80 people and was one of the largest on the island of Murano. In 2004, Nason & C. Closed its doors and was declared bankrupt. In very good condition, the piece consists of an emerald green glass carafe and its conical-shaped stopper in midnight blue.
