Glass trinket tray, Master glassmaker Werner Manesse, design 1970

Magnificent trinket dish in thick glass, entirely handcrafted. The piece is signed on the bottom, though the signature is slightly worn. Work by master glassmaker Werner Manesse of the Trélon Ecomuseum (Nord). The glass has a superb warm tone: a speckled exterior in shades of orange/rust brown and a light blue interior, with beautiful textural effects. A rare, decorative, and highly sculptural piece.
