Pair of bar stools Series 430, Verpan, Verner Panton, creation from 1967

Designed by Verner Panton in 1967, these Scandinavian-style bar stools are a reissue of the 430 series and are beautiful designer pieces in steel and blue velvet. They are part of a collection of chairs of astonishing modernity. While most of the pieces by this famous designer have become icons of vintage design, these pieces have remained relatively unknown to the general public. The seat is extremely comfortable thanks to the presence of a very enveloping backrest and its strap system. You sit on it like on a plump chair, thanks to the footrest. The structure is made up of four thin legs fixed to the edge of the seat so that the structure remains light, as if suspended in the air. Their great comfort also lies in the presence of elastic straps in very good condition which make the seat flexible and comfortable. They are in good general condition, with simple traces of classic use. Nothing specific to note except a small, barely visible tear on one of the seats that has no impact on the solidity of the whole. The velvet has beautiful shades of blue that vary with the light.
