Magnificent antique Médicis vase in black and gold patinated bronze, in neoclassical and Egyptian style. Napoleon III period, second half of the 19th century, probably around 1870-1890. Remarkable decoration of two sphinxes with lion bodies and female busts, positioned on either side of the vase. Refined ornamentation of female masks, medallions with antique profiles, lion heads, and movable rings. The whole rests on an elegant circular base in red and white marble with beautiful natural veining. Very good overall condition for its age. There is a small irregularity on the edge of the marble, at the level of a natural vein (see photos).
