Fabrizio Smania Lacor Sideboard 1970s

Fabrizio Smania for Studio Smania, Lacor Collection sideboard, 1976. Rare large Italian chest of drawers or sideboard with twelve drawers. The wooden structure is finished with a finely woven cane pattern on the fronts and sides, which has developed a beautiful and warm patina over time. The piece is framed by an elegant gilt brass structure. The top and drawer fronts are finished with a thick, glossy transparent lacquer that protects the cane surface while adding depth and sheen to the material beneath.
