Elegant bistro chair from the early 20th century made of bent beech with a caned seat, produced by Jacob & Josef Kohn & Siegel, famous Austro-Hungarian manufacturers and major competitors of Thonet in the history of bent wood furniture. Very similar to Thonet's iconic model No. 14, this chair features the fluid lines and lightness characteristic of Viennese café furniture, while retaining its original labels, which are valuable testimonies to its authenticity. The structure has a beautiful mahogany brown patina acquired over time, while the caning is in very good condition. The work of the bent wood reveals the technical expertise developed by the great Viennese workshops at the turn of the century. A timeless piece, equally elegant around a table or as an accent chair in an interior that blends the old and the contemporary. Dimensions: height 89 cm, depth approximately 45 cm, seat height 48 cm. Very good overall condition with a lovely patina of use consistent with its age.
