Art Deco style mirrored plateau in oak with bevelled edges and chrome handles.

Service tray with a mirrored base, framed in oak. Honey-toned oak with a dry patina. The frame forms a rectangle with cut corners. Two chrome metal tube handles mounted on oak cleats at the beveled corners. The back, closed with a fibre panel, protects the reverse of the mirror. Likely made in the 1930s or 1940s. The geometry of the frame and the combination of wood and chrome metal reflect the Art Deco vocabulary, which is very present in the table arts of this period. This tray can find its place on a coffee table, sideboard, or bar, to serve aperitifs or display bottles and candlesticks. The oak and chrome can suit a bohemian chic decor as well as a more minimalist or brutalist interior. Length: 55.7 cm, width: 31 cm, height: 6 cm; Weight: 2kg. Used condition, with a marked patina and scratches on the frame. The mirror's backing is oxidised, with cracks, star-shaped pitting, and scratches that obscure the reflection. Water stains on the back panel. Please feel free to contact me for more information.
