Evoluon saucer-shaped desk lamp by Louis Kalff for Philips, green

Desk lamp designed by the renowned Dutch graphic designer Louis Kalff and produced by Philips in the 1950s-60s. This is one of his early designs, featuring a perforated metal shade on a base and stem in a very elegant gray-green. The Evoluon model (also known as "Senior" on some websites), nicknamed the "saucer" lamp. Its shade is made of perforated sheet metal in a lovely dark green, reminiscent of the Bauhaus style. Black lacquered stem. Note the charming little round brass detail between the stem and the base. E27 porcelain socket in yellow. Dimensions: Height: 50 cm. Lampshade diameter: 44-45 cm (approximately) Base diameter: 18 cm. Philips logo present on the base and labels inside the lampshade and under the base (see photos) The lamp is fully functional with a few minor signs of age (see photos) This is a classic, but fairly rare, model by designer Louis Kalff in a color reminiscent of office settings and is in good overall condition.
