Antique 18th century Georgian oak mule chest / coffer / blanket box

A fabulous and large 18th century Georgian oak mule chest, featuring a hinged lid, two drawers, and a beautifully panelled front. A classic and highly decorative English storage piece. The chest is in very good antique condition, structurally solid throughout. There is an aged split to the top, consistent with age, along with attractive signs of use that contribute to its exceptional character and patina. The drawers in particular show stunning wear from centuries of use, adding to the authenticity of the piece. Finished with brass hardware. Origin: England, mid 18th century.
