We are delighted to offer for sale this magnificent original Anglo-Indian military chest of drawers from the 1920s, made of rosewood with brass inlays. A very aesthetic, well-crafted, and decorative piece, produced during the British occupation of India. These items were intended for export trade so that visiting dignitaries and high-ranking military officers could take home a souvenir. The wood features a beautiful patina and grain, accompanied by particularly extensive detailed brass inlays. The condition is sublime, with normal age-related patina and transport marks, which add to the charm of the item. Dimensions: Height - 59 cm, Width - 94 cm, Depth - 46.5 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Please note that antique items like leather seats naturally have a patina with creases and wear. An annual waxing is recommended to prevent moisture loss, and the hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to prolonged direct sunlight to avoid drying and discolouration.
