Large antique gilded mirror – Louis-Philippe style – 140 x 90 cm

Sublime antique louis-philippe style mirror, dating from the mid-19th century. This large format (140 cm high by 90 cm wide) is framed in carved gilded wood, decorated with floral motifs, pearls and acanthus leaves. The mirror is in very good condition for its age, with a beautiful authentic patina and some discreet marks of time which contribute to its charm. The mirror's tin is original. The back in solid wooden planks testifies to its traditional artisanal manufacture. An old label still present on the back gives a clue to its provenance: the mirror would have traveled from clermont-ferrand to the creuse, delivered to a castle.
