Elm farmhouse table with extensions 6/12 people

Beautiful elm farmhouse table, with two large extensions of 80 cm, which can accommodate six people in the closed position, and up to 12 people in the open position (320 cm). It was probably originally a lingerie table for ironing sheets, as could be found in the bourgeois houses of the 19th century. It is made of elm, it is a wood that was highly prized by cabinetmakers for its qualities that are close to those of oak, until the tree population was decimated by a parasite in the 20th century. Both extensions have good stability. Some marks of xylophagous insects. It is stable and strong.
