Swedish Crystal - Mid-Century Vase - Rare Decorative Glass. Rare, timeless and very well preserved clear glass / crystal soliflower vase. Medium size, elegant shape with a slight taper and gently smoothed corners. Hand-signed "Stromberg" under the base, for Asta Stromberg, main designer of celebrated Swedish glassmaking firm Strombergshyttan. A date is also visible - 18/9/76 for September 18, 1976. Originally founded in 1876 as Lindefors, the company was rebranded as Strombergshyttan in 1933, when Gerda and Edvard Stromberg acquired it. It existed for exactly 100 years, until Orrefors took control in 1976. Therefore, the present vase could be part of the very end of Strombergshyttan's production, adding to its charm. Perfect to decorate your special interior, it will look great on a coffee table, console or bookshelf. Condition: Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. Origin: Sweden. Dimensions: Height 20 cm, Width 6 cm, Depth 6 cm.
