Norwegian lounge chair with ottoman designed by Ingmar Relling, 1960s

Set of norwegian lounge chair with armrests 'siesta' with matching ottoman. It was designed in 1965 by ingmar relling and became an instant success. The design therefore rightly received (inter)national awards. This set is a more recent edition and is in very nice condition. The high-quality leather is in a brown color with a light acajou tint. Both the leather of the seat and the footstool both have the label of manufacturer rybo. The ropes and the woodwork are also in very nice condition. Seat: 99 cm (height) X 74 cm (width) X 75 cm (depth) Ottoman: 46 cm (height) X 66 cm (width) X 56 cm (depth) The siesta chair played an important role in the growth of the norwegian furniture industry and its international success. The seat can therefore rightly be declared a true international norwegian icon. To date, the vision of manufacturer rybo is to continue to focus on top design, quality and functionality together with good craftsmanship. This set is a wonderful example of that!.
