Two Siesta armchairs by Ingmar Relling for Westnofa Norway 1960

Designed in the 1960s for Westnofa by the designer Ingmar Relling (1920-2002), a key figure in Scandinavian design, these "Siesta" chairs with high backs truly live up to their name. Made of stretched fabric, cord to tie it to the structure, curved rosewood, and exceptionally supple leather, they offer intense ergonomics and comfort. They are also very lightweight. These two first-hand chairs, one of which still bears the manufacturer's label, are in exceptional condition. They were purchased in the 1970s and have seen very little use since. The leather of the seat and the backrest, which is removable in one piece, the cushioning foam, and the structure have suffered no damage or wear. A must-have, or rather two!
