Vintage opaline Murano pendant light - Massimo Vignelli for Visto

Vintage opaline chandelier. Chandelier / vintage light from the 1960s-1970s, attributed to the famous Italian designer Massimo Vignelli for the prestigious Murano manufacturer Vistosi. An authentic and iconic piece of *Space Age* design. Blown opaline glass from Murano (double glass / incamiciato technique) in a beautiful and rare lilac purple colour on the outside, white on the inside. Organic and biomorphic lines shaped like a gourd. Original system with three metal pins passing through the neck. Original functional electricity (socket for standard bulb). Dimensions: Height 28 cm. Maximum diameter 20 cm. Overall in beautiful aesthetic condition. Note slight usage chips (small discreet nicks) on the lower inner edge and at the fixing holes (see photos), completely invisible once the chandelier is hung.
