Large Diabolo Vase in Orange Opaline Vintage Space Age, 1970

Imposing modernist vase from the Space Age era (circa 1970), made of blown opaline glass in pop orange/tangerine colour. Exceptional dimensions, this biconical vase (in the shape of a diabolo or hourglass) has a remarkable visual presence. It will ideally find its place on a Scandinavian sideboard, a workbench, or directly on the floor. Material: Double-layer opaline glass (interior and exterior in shiny orange). Beautiful work with a turned rim. 1970s. Condition: Excellent overall condition. Minor non-detrimental chip, no cracks or restoration. Note some tiny bubbles or original inclusions in the glass mass, testifying to its handcrafted nature and authenticity (see detail photos). A statement piece of seventies design, very bright, perfect for vintage design collectors or to energise a contemporary interior.
