This floor lamp comes from the 1960s, was manufactured by Mazzega in Italy, and most likely designed by Toni Zuccheri. It is a striking example of sculptural glass design combined with refined modern materials, the combination mastered by Mazzega in the 1960s and 1970s. Overall dimensions are 115 cm in height and 42 cm in diameter. The lamp stands on a round chromed base and features three vertical columns in brushed aluminum, connected with polished chrome joints and supporting chromed shade mounts. Its most distinctive feature is the unusual glass shades, whose form appears as if classic spherical globes have begun to melt from the heat of the bulbs. In these “melted” areas, the otherwise transparent glass transitions into a soft white tone, producing a dramatic visual effect and diffusing the light in a warm, atmospheric way. A rare and highly decorative lighting piece, perfect as a sculptural focal point in contemporary, Space Age-inspired, or eclectic interiors. Additional information: The shade size is 20 cm in height and 22 cm in diameter, The cord length is 260 cm, The switch is 130 cm next to the base, It requires 3 E14 bulbs. The piece retains its original condition. The cord and switch as well, which further confirms its authenticity and vintage character. Remains in very good vintage condition, with a light patina.
