Antique HR Quimper Plate Horn Player Playing Bombarde Hand-Painted 24cm. 🔹 Item Description. Magnificent collector's plate made of authentic Quimper faience, bearing the historic mark from the HR (Henriot Quimper) period. This traditional folk art model features a Breton horn player in traditional costume (yellow waistcoat with buttons, blue jacket, green breeches, and black ribboned hat), hand-painted at the centre. The character is set on a grassy mound, beautifully framed by two garlands of green leaves and stylised red and blue flowers. The scalloped rim is decorated with a significant floral frieze that matches the design and is highlighted by an elegant blue border on the wavy edge. The original handwritten signature "HR Quimper" is painted directly by hand on the left side of the decoration. Main Features: Manufacturer: HR Quimper.
