Large plate HB Henriot Quimper decor Tradition 32 cm

Large hand-painted earthenware dish signed HB Henriot Quimper, featuring the "Tradition" decor, drawn from the emblematic repertoire of the manufacture. The central scene depicts a couple of Bretons in traditional costumes, rendered with finely outlined black drawing and a bright palette. The colours vary according to the painter's inspiration, as documented by the Henriot Faïencerie, making each piece subtly unique. The rim is adorned with a stylised floral frieze in red and blue tones, highlighted by a yellow border on a speckled blue background, adding depth and balance to the whole. The composition is harmonious, showcasing beautiful line work and flat areas. Stamped HB Quimper France, Form F.64 – Decor Tradition – Painter's initials M.H. In excellent vintage condition, with a shiny glaze, fresh colours, and slight signs of use compatible with its age. There is a small old restoration on the edge, located under the foot and very minimally visible when the dish is placed down. It does not affect the solidity or aesthetic quality of the piece (see photos). Diameter: 32 cm.
